— THE TRAINING

train like
you mean it.

Caring · Growing · Winning. Three words become a week of work: pool sets that demand something of you, open water that asks you to trust the lake, strength sessions that protect your shoulders, and a community that holds you accountable.

PILLAR 01 · VIDEO REVIEW

Every stroke, seen.

Every session is filmed. Stroke-level analysis lands in your GoSwim feed within 24 hours, with timestamped coach comments. You're not guessing what your hip drop looks like, you're watching it. Then you're fixing it.

Powered by our partnership with GoSwim, the same platform used by USA Swimming and USA Triathlon Project Podium.

PILLAR 02 · POOL SETS

The pool is the lab.

Twice-weekly pool training with structured progression across the season. Threshold work to raise your aerobic ceiling. Technique sessions to dismantle the habits that are costing you seconds per hundred. Race-pace work to teach your body what fast feels like.

Welles Park, mornings before the city wakes up. The same lane assignments every week so you train next to the same sistas.

PILLAR 03 · OPEN WATER

The lake is the test.

Pool fitness only carries you so far. Open water demands sighting, pacing, dealing with chop, and learning to trust water you can't see through. Lake Michigan sets begin in June with sighting and pacing clinics, escalating to mile and 5k swims by August.

Wetsuit fittings included. Escort kayaks on every session. A Door County lodge weekend each summer to put it all together.

PILLAR 04 · STRENGTH & RECOVERY

What you do on land.

Dryland sessions designed for swimmers. Strength work that protects your shoulders, builds the posterior chain, and trains the core rotation a good freestyle demands. Mobility, breathwork, and mindset workshops fill out the program.

Recovery isn't optional. It's where the adaptation happens. We treat it like training.

THE QUESTIONS WE GET
Do I need to be a fast swimmer to join?

No. You need to be willing to work and able to swim 400 meters continuously. We have sistas who came in as adult-onset swimmers and now finish open-water miles. Pace doesn't matter, commitment does.

What's included in the price?

All pool sessions, all open-water sessions, strength classes, video review on GoSwim, the welcome retreat, the Door County lodge weekend (Open Water season), and access to the coach feedback channel.

What if I miss a session?

Sessions are filmed, you can review what you missed on GoSwim. We don't refund missed sessions, but coaches will catch you up. Twelve seats per cohort means we'll notice.

Can I join more than one season?

Yes, and most sistas do. The Year Circle bundles all four seasons plus a welcome retreat and quarterly 1:1 coaching for $2,895 (a meaningful discount vs. registering for each season individually).

How does Team Dream Sistas relate to Team Dream Swim Club?

Sistas is the women's program within Team Dream Swim Club. The club also runs general adult swimming, learn-to-swim for drowning prevention, masters, and coach training. Same mission, same coaching standards.
